I was listening to the original post as it was storming outside and I thought it was beautiful so I tried my best to recreate it.
SERIOUSLY HOW MUCH MORE BEAUTIFUL CAN THIS SONG GET?!
This gives me chills
Silence fell, and Janek, striving to control his voice, recited Słowacki’s “My Testament.” Czarny held Stach’s hand in his own and repeated in a whisper with blue lips that most wonderful verse:
“I implore the still living not to lose hope,
But, when the time comes, to go forth to their death
Like stones thrown by God upon a great rampart.”
Kamienie na szaniec (lit. Stones for the Rampart, also translated as Stones on the Barricade) is a 1943 book by Polish writer Aleksander Kamiński. Published by the Polish underground press during the World War II occupation of Poland, the book describes the small acts of sabotage carried out by the Polish underground scout movement, the Gray Ranks, of whom Kamiński was one of the instructors and leaders. x
This book means a lot to me. I’m waiting for this movie.
Rest in peace, Brendon. We’re gonna miss you so much. I attended his funeral today with all my closest friends whom I love so much. Because of Gaga, we all know each other. Because of her, we build friendships. Gaga is so amazing for writing this letter for Brendon. He loved her so much and I know that wherever he is, I know he’s happy because of this. Life is unfair because death is part of that cycle and death brings nothing but sorrow and pain. Although we are sad in the physical world, in the spiritual dimensions do these feelings even exist? God is on your side now. Be with Angels.
